So- remember those challenges I signed up for earlier this week? Well, our miles for the first week were due today for Pile on the Miles! I capped out this week at 8.19 miles total. We had three full days- Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to get our 5 miles in, as well as this morning until 8am PST, and running and walking miles count. I decided to squeeze in one last workout this morning to up my number a bit even though its not a numbers competition!
| Pile on the What? Give us Bacon! |
Monday: 1.5 mile walk with Sadie
Tuesday: .48 mile morning walk with Sadie; 3.02 outdoor run with Sadie
Wednesday: two walks with Sadie totaling 1.18miles
Thursday: two walks with Sadie totaling .96miles, Bikram Yoga- 75min class
Friday: 50 barbell squats + 2.55 mile treadmill run
I'm satisfied with my mileage this week, but I need to get my rear in gear for next week and the weeks after that, because half marathon training has officially begun. Woo! I'm loving this challenge so far. It is keeping me motivated to stave off the extra LB's that often come with the holidays.
Have you decided to take part in any challenges this holiday season?
What does your average weekly workout look like?
Do you workout on the weekends?
I won't be working out this weekend because of all the time we're spending
My average workout routine is this:
Monday: Spin
Tuesday: 3mile run + Legs
Wednesday: longer run
Thursday: Bikram
Friday: 3mile run + arms
Saturday: optional Spin or outdoor run/stairs in the park session (do y'all run stairs? I love them!)
Sunday: Always a rest day
Enjoy your weekend!! <3
Sounds like you're making fabulous progress, Carol! I also like to work out on Saturdays, but Sunday is my rest day and I am very strict about it!! I find my body NEEDS a rest day each week, and I'm always excited when it rolls around. My workout schedule looks something like this:
ReplyDeleteSunday - Rest
Monday - Teach spin
Tuesday - Run - 8.5 to 9 miles + weights
Wed - Easy run + teach spin + 30 mins weights
Thurs, Fri, and Sat - mixed cardio (whatever I feel like, but usually running), + weights.
Have a fantastic weekend and I hope you get some great weather for your run!
I get my bes workouts in on the weekend. I have more time, so i love going on long runs and hitting a body pump class.
